On Saturday 6th February 2016, members of the Ladies Lunch Box Club and the Media Club hosted a Charity Fashion Show, Arts and Culture Expo to ensure that 13 girls less privileged pupils secured a place at securing a bright future.
The night was full of pomp and color as models ( LUG students) took to the run way. A jazz saxophonist entertained the audience, a dance troop showcased the evolution of dance in Ghana and several art pieces were auctioned. Funds raised from the auction goes to support GIEG students in thier education journey.
Lancaster University Ghana supported this event by providing our state of the art facilities as the venue for the expo. In addition, LUG students volunteered to model the various designs of Vlisco fabric designed by the GEIG students that were auctioned.  The university’s Media Club executives did an excellent job of providing media coverage for the event.  It was a night to remember!
The university believes that these 13 students are essential to building healthier, better-educated and sustainable communities and wishes the pupils the very best in their journey to become powerful community leaders.
